Private Cloud Network

A private cloud network provides a unique cloud environment dedicated to one business entity, with physical components stored on-site or in the data center of ‘Hipocti’. Since the private cloud is only accessible to a single business, this model offers you a high level of control. The advantages include customized architecture, advanced security protocols and the ability to expand computing resources in a virtual environment as needed. In many cases, an organization maintains a private cloud infrastructure on site while providing cloud computing services to internal users via the intranet. In other cases, the organization contracts with a third-party cloud provider to host and maintain dedicated off-site servers

The private cloud is defined as computing services offered either through the Internet or a private internal network and only to selected users instead of to the general public. Also known as an internal or corporate cloud, private cloud computing provides businesses with many of the benefits of a public cloud – including self-service, scalability and flexibility – with additional control and customization available from dedicated resources on an on-premises hosted computing infrastructure. In addition, private clouds provide a higher level of security and privacy through both company firewalls and internal hosting to ensure that sensitive operations and data are not accessible to third-party providers. ‘Hipocti’ provides two models for cloud services in a private cloud. The first is infrastructure as a service (IaaS) which allows a company to use infrastructure resources such as computing, network and storage as a service. The second is a platform as a service (PaaS) that allows the company to provide everything from simple cloud-based applications to sophisticated enterprise applications. Private clouds can also be combined with public clouds to create a hybrid cloud, allowing a business to take advantage of the cloud explosion to free up more space and expand computing services to the public cloud when computing demand increases.
